Guild Education Programs
The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Society Guild presents in-school programs called "The Orchestra and You," an annual children's concert for elementary school students at Robinson Center Music Hall, and the Stella Boyle Smith Young Artist Competition.
The Orchestra and You - The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Society Guild teaches Arkansas K-3 elementary students music basics, the four orchestra instrument families, and how a concert is rehearsed and performed. This interactive program allows the children to act as musicians and even dress in a tuxedo to conduct the orchestra. ASOSG Children's Concert - The ASOSG and Robinson Center Music Hall present "Tubby the Tuba" and "Peter and the Wolf" at Robinson Center Music Hall on Friday, November 10, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. How many different instruments are in a symphony orchestra? Find out about the 4 different instrument groups of the orchestra, and listen to how they sound- Live!
