Symphony Designer House

The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Society Guild’s Symphony Designer House has, since 1975, opened fines homes to the community, transformed by Arkansas’ premier interior designers. Symphony Designer House XX: “Duet” celebrates that tradition by offering, for the first time, two new homes in the Hickory Grove area of Little Rock. The homes are built by Melinda and Jim Markus of Markus Homes.

The excitement will begin with the Bare Bones Party on February 26, 2009, held in the undecorated homes. The opening night gala, Crescendo Party, will reveal the designers’ work on April 16, 2009. A new event, “Girls’ Night Out,” promises to be a fun-filled party. The homes will open for public tours from April 17 through May 17.

Winning numerous national and local awards for excellence in fundraising, the Symphony Designer House project has contributed well over $1.5 million in support of the Guild’s and the ASO’s educational projects throughout the state. For more information, visit www.ArkansasSymphony.org.
