Orchestrating Greatness Over the past 40 years audiences have listened to the ASO with a wonderful sense of pride and excitement. At every performance, there is a tangible investment in our success— there is no disconnect between what we want and what the community wants for us. The artistic growth of this enterprise belongs as much to people of Arkansas as it does Maestro Itkin, his predecessors, and the musicians of the ASO. As Chair of the Board of Directors, I had many opportunities to visit with people throughout Arkansas. I can tell you that there has never been a better time to be a part of the ASO…and I assure you that we are just getting started. We are indeed fortunate that so many people are working on behalf of one of Arkansas' cultural gems— together we are Orchestrating Greatness for Arkansas. One of our most rewarding projects is planning for the ASO's future. With our Society Board, Foundation Board and Planning Committee we've begun the work of bringing focus to the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Foundation and the importance of investing in the future of the orchestra. Through continued support Arkansans have shown the ASO their appreciation and wonder, asking only "What will you do for an encore?" The answer can be found in our Orchestrating Greatness initiative. This endowment building initiative will take us to new levels of artistry and outreach. I hope you will join us in our pursuit of Orchestrating Greatness. See you at the concert hall,
