ASO’s music education programs offer the chance to learn, grow, and participate in music-making from pre-school through 12th grade. The music programs in low-to-moderate-income schools are in demand as their effects, like better grades and higher graduation rates, become more visible and tangible for students, parents, and teachers alike. Meeting this demand requires annual support to sustain their growth and continuation.
More than 30,000 students across Arkansas each year engage with music through programs like the String Academy, Youth Ensembles, quartet demonstrations, Bucket Band, Summer Strings Camp, and Children’s Concerts. These programs develop team members, creative thinkers, listeners, and confident, hard-working, responsible individuals with a desire to overcome challenges to succeed.
Many of ASO’s in-school programs are offered at no cost, and ASO never denies a student participation in its programs because of financial issues, ensuring economic barriers do not restrict a child’s development. ASO could not fill the gaps in access to music education without your support.
